Before Your First Appointment

To ensure a safe and positive experience, please inform me of any health or behavioural concerns prior to your dog’s appointment. This includes (but is not limited to):

  • Illness, injury or infections

  • Skin conditions or sensitivities

  • Anxiety or stress-related behaviours

  • Any history of aggression or biting

All dogs must be up to date with vaccinations, flea prevention and worming treatments.

Arrival & Collection

Please use the doorbell located at the gate behind the letterboxes upon arrival.

For safety and courtesy, please do not drive into the shared driveway when dropping off or collecting your dog.

KYND operates on a strict, one-on-one grooming model. Each appointment is individually scheduled and your dog receives my full, uninterrupted attention for the duration of their groom. As I work by appointment only and outside standard business hours, punctuality for both drop-off and collection is essential and a commitment to this is a condition of booking.

I will send a text message approximately 15–30 minutes before your dog is ready. I will always ensure I am on time for your scheduled appointment and provide adequate notice prior to collection.

In return, I kindly ask that:

  • Dogs arrive at their scheduled appointment time

  • Owners are ready for prompt collection once notified

Late arrivals or pick-ups disrupt scheduled appointments and the calm environment I maintain for each dog. Punctuality is essential; if it cannot be consistently met, unfortunately, I will not be able to accept future appointments.

Health & Emergency Procedures

While every care and precaution is taken to ensure your dog’s comfort and safety, grooming can sometimes expose underlying health conditions or unforeseen reactions.

If an emergency arises:

  • You will be contacted immediately.

  • If you cannot be reached, I reserve the right to seek veterinary care to ensure your dog’s wellbeing.

  • Any veterinary treatment costs incurred will be the responsibility of the owner.

Fleas

If live fleas are detected during grooming, you will be notified immediately. A flea treatment shampoo will be administered and a $10 sanitation fee will be added to your appointment to cover additional disinfection of equipment and the salon environment.

Matting

If your dog’s coat is matted, I will discuss coat options with you at the beginning of the appointment. In cases of significant matting, clipping the coat shorter than requested may be necessary to prevent discomfort or injury. A matting fee starting from $20 will apply depending on the severity, time required and additional wear on equipment.

In cases of significant matting requiring extended grooming time, fees may increase accordingly. I will always communicate this transparently.

Cancellations & No-Shows

Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for your dog.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

Please provide a minimum of 12 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This can be done via your Square booking link or by texting 0432 394 477.

Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 12 hours’ notice will incur a 50% service fee, payable prior to your next booking.

No-Shows

Failure to attend your appointment without notice will require 100% of the service fee to be paid before rebooking.

Payment

Payment is due at the completion of your dog’s appointment.

Before & After Photos

I may share before and after photos of your dog on Instagram (@kynd.doggrooming).

If you prefer that your dog’s images not be shared, please notify me prior to your appointment.

Agreement

By proceeding with a booking at KYND Dog Grooming, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
